Kuukausien odotus on nyt päättynyt, kun olemme vihdoinkin matkalla Yhdysvaltoihin. Lensimme juuri tunnin verran Helsinki-Vantaalta Tukholman Arlandan kentälle, ja nyt odotamme pääsyä Newarkin koneeseen. Lennämme siis New Jerseyn puolelle New Yorkin lähelle, kentältä noudamme vuokraamamme auton, ja sitten seikkailumme todella alkaa!
Heinäkuussa minulle tullut välilevynpullistuma piti jännityksessä viime hetkille asti, pääsemmekö matkaan, mutta hyvin kävi! Pullistuma toki vaikuttaa osaltaan matkantekoon (ja blogikirjoitusteni pituuteen...), mutta pääasia on, että voimme tehdä matkan - toivotaan, että suunnitellun pituisenakin.

Months of waiting is finally over, as we are now on our way to the US! Right now we are at the Stockholm Arlanda airport waiting for our flight to Newark, NJ. And our adventure will really begin as we hit the road from there.
The spinal disc herniation, which I got in July, kept us nervous until the last days before departure, but luckily we could begin our journey. Obviously it will affect our trip (and length of my blog posts...), but the most important thing is, that we can travel - hopefully the whole road trip.
